As we approach a new Spring season, we are grateful to our supporters for reaching out to us to inquire about this year’s performances, workshops and classes for 2025. We have heard from many of our former clients who have asked to book us again for their homeschool co-ops, library programs, summer camps and parties. We are eager to continue to bring the joy of bamboo to your special events and are thankful that you continue to choose Carolina Bamboo!
We have updated our list of classes for 2025, which can be found in the same familiar place on our website: https://carolinabamboo.org/services/
This year, we are introducing the “FinBuoy Boo Games” as an exciting new “Survivor” style event which incorporates an array of games and challenges which were created to utilize bamboo for fun! You can find a short description about this new event on our master class list.
We are also happy to announce the addition of another new class, “Bamboo Rainsticks”. This is by far the most requested product we have been asked to introduce in a “how-to” course, and we are ready to show you how to make one!
Also added to our 2025 list of offerings is our new “KuBoo Basket Weaving” Class. Following the encouragement of our mentor, Nancy Basket, we hope to continue to share educational resources related to the cultivation and usage of another popular invasive plant, Kudzu. In weaving together split bamboo and kudzu, we have found an incredibly strong pair of sister resources which work well together to lend themselves to the art of weaving. In fact, chances are high you may have seen a kudzu vine naturally wrapping itself around a bamboo cane inside a grove. The two are keenly familiar with each other and we are happy to introduce our students to them as a combined pair, which come together to make creative and useful art.
This year we have also added a “Bamboo Wands and Walking Sticks” class to our workshop offerings. After one year of outdoor festivals, farmers’ markets and artisian markets, we are happy to bring our wands and walking sticks into classroom form. We are thankful to all of our customers and supporters who purchased a “magic” wand or walking stick from the Carolina Bamboo booth at these markets and festivals. We are especially thankful to the Pacolet Library for asking us to be a part of their Summer Reading Program in 2024. Your creativity and excitement over these products helped us to launch this new class. Your creations truly were magic!

We look forward to seeing your creations come to life again in 2025! Thank you for bringing your ideas to us and for your bright, inquiring minds! We hope to continue educating all ages about bamboo for years to come. Here’s to another great year!
